Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Camp Manager/Relief Lodge Manager to join their team at their prestigious 5-star game lodge. This role requires an individual with exceptional leadership skills to oversee all aspects of the lodge’s daily operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences, luxury service standards, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will manage staff, coordinate guest services, and ensure that the lodge maintains its reputation for high-end hospitality. Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the villa and lodge, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Lead and manage a team of staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences through personalized service and attention to detail.
- Monitor inventory, budgeting, and financial management for the villa and lodge.
- Coordinate with the housekeeping, kitchen, and other departments to maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure that all safety and security protocols are followed.
- Act as a relief lodge manager when required, stepping into the full lodge manager role as needed.
- Proven experience as a Villa Manager, Camp Manager, or in a senior hospitality role, preferably in a luxury or game lodge environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of hospitality standards, operations, and guest services.
- Experience in managing budgets and inventory.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle high-stress situations with grace.
- A passion for wildlife and the environment is preferred.
- Flexibility to work on a rotation schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Relevant hospitality qualifications and/or a degree in Hotel Management or similar field.
