Description:
The Receiving Clerk’s role will accept and process deliveries. The Receiving Clerk’s responsibilities include verifying delivered items, ensuring items are stored correctly, and processing returns.
To be successful as a Receiving Clerk, the incumbent should be able to inspect deliveries with great attention to detail and be in good physical condition to lift and/or move heavy items. Ultimately, a top Receiving Clerk should be able to ensure efficient receiving processes and promptly resolve any problems and/or discrepancies.

- Analytic Skills: 2 to 3 years
- Receiving Clerk: 2 to 3 years
- Typings Skills: 2 to 3 years
- Attention-To-Detail: 2 to 3 years
- Grv Management: 2 to 3 years
The responsibilities shall include, but not to be treated as an exhaustive list, namely:
Receiving deliveries and completing paperwork upon receipt.
Comparing items delivered with invoices.
Confirming delivery address on each invoice.
Performing quality checks on item (packaging, expiry dates etc.)
Processing returns: damaged, incorrect quantities and expired stock.
Delivering stock received to relevant departments – Frontshop and Dispensary.
Ensuring stock items are stored or handed to correct department - Fridge items for both Frontshop and Dispensary.
Data Capturing (GRV of all invoices and credit notes, bonus stock adjustments with minor values.)
Communication with suppliers if mistakes or discrepancies arise.
Documentation and record keeping.
Identifying of new stock items and informing the Management.
IBT’s (Interbranch transfers): checking if the correct quantities are dispatched and received.
Continuous communication between Receiving department and Dispensary.
Abide to SOP relating to the department.
Readily available to assist Pharmacists and Managers with stock-related enquiries.
Maintaining a neat working environment.
Following of general Health and Safety procedures.
