We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel General Manager to oversee the operations of our beautiful Safari Hotel and Conference Centre in Rustenburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the hotel's operation to ensure exceptional guest service, employee satisfaction, and financial performance.Responsibilities:
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, sales and marketing, and maintenance
- Lead and motivate a team of employees to deliver exceptional guest service and ensure guest satisfaction
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability, and implement strategies to improve financial results
- Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to drive revenue and occupancy growth
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Participate in regular meetings with senior management to report on performance and set goals for improvement
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- A tertiary qualification in hotel management or similar field preferred
- Must have driver's license and own reliable motor vehicle
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
- Demonstrated track record of achieving financial targets and delivering exceptional guest service
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to develop and implement operational and strategic plans
- Knowledge of hotel management software and systems
