Purpose of the Job:The purpose of the Millwright (Cranes) position is to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance, and repair of all company cranes. This role is critical to maintaining optimal crane performance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring that all equipment operates in compliance with safety regulations.
The Millwright will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine inspections, and carrying out necessary repairs to ensure cranes are functioning properly.
By maintaining high-quality equipment and ensuring smooth operations, the Millwright will contribute to the overall success of our operations, directly impacting productivity and safety.
Requirements:
Requirements:1. Valid Millwright trade qualification.
2. Minimum 5-10 years of factory maintenance experience as a millwright.
3. Strong Knowledge of Overhead Crane Maintenance and Electrical Methods. In-depth understanding of electrical maintenance techniques, including troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of electrical components.
4. Must be able to work at heights.
5. Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), variable frequency drives (VFDs).
6. Experience in working with and troubleshooting proximity sensors used in various automated systems.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs: Ability to use MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation, reporting, and communications.
8. Knowledge in Occupational Health & Safety Standards and solid understanding of workplace safety protocols, and the ability to apply safety standards in all electrical work.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and management.
10. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently for effective communication and documentation.
11. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to assess situations, analyze electrical systems, and implement solutions.
12. Must have own reliable transportation.
13. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and after-hours to address electrical breakdowns or urgent maintenance requirements.
Candidates will be required to work shifts which will rotate on a weekly basis as follow: ? 06h00 to 14h30 ? 14h00 to 22h30 ? 22h00 to 06h30
