A well-established manufacturing and distribution concern based in Blackheath is seeking to employ a Supply Chain Manager. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the companies end-to-end supply chain processes - Your expertise will ensure efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement in our operations. Key Responsibilities- Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the company’s objectives, leveraging principles to optimize throughput.
- Inventory Management: Utilize Dynamic Buffer Management to maintain optimal inventory levels, reduce excess stock, and ensure product availability.
- Demand Planning: Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and align resources accordingly.
- Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality of goods. Negotiate costs/rates with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction with the use of Syspro and OneBeat.
- Performance Monitoring: Set and track KPIs, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement in the supply chain. Enhance supply chain visibility (end to end) using technology
- Quality Assurance and Risk Management: Ensure all products and processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, implementing quality control measures throughout the supply chain to increase customer satisfaction and reduce risk.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Experience with international logistics, customs regulations is essential
- Proficiency in supply chain management software (SYSPRO ERP / OneBeat) or similar software is important.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices such as Dynamic Buffer Management and Theory of Constraints (TOC) methodologies would be advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve problems in complex supply chains.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
