Leading South African footwear and apparel retailer has an exciting MARKETING ASSISTANT available in Houghton Estate, Joburg. The Marketing Assistant responsibilities include administrative, being involved in creative tasks such as writing marketing copy, managing social media accounts (including creating images and videos) and coordinating campaigns.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
• Assist in managing social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop social media content strategies aligned with the brands’ marketing objectives and industry trends.
• Create and schedule engaging social media posts using relevant text, images, videos, and other multimedia assets.
• Monitor and analyse social media metrics and provide regular reports on performance.
• Assist in managing and planning all Social Media Advertising.
• Conduct market research to identify target audiences, demographics, and consumer behaviour.
Marketing Assistant Qualifications/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing, social media management, or a related role.
• Experience in the retail or fashion industry is a plus.
• Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
• Ability to develop creative social media strategies and campaigns.
• Analytical Skills
• Ability to analyse social media metrics and digital advertising performance data.
• Strong research skills to identify target audiences and market trends.
• Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends during special events or campaigns.
• Ability to travel for events and on-site setups if required.
• Creative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are advantageous.
Salary negotiable depending on level of experience
