Junior Branch Manager

Van Schaik Bookstore needs a Junior Branch Manager who possesses good interpersonal and administrative skills and can function well under pressure.
Reporting to the Braamfontein Branch manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Successfully expanding the Branch regarding stockholding and management thereof
- Strictly maintaining the company’s and its suppliers return policies
- Optimisation and stimulation of sales in the shop
- Ordering and receiving of stationery
- Processing of new and inter-branch stock
- Initiate and maintain contact with lecturing staff of tertiary institutions, potential customers and representative of publishers or their suppliers.
- Applying the company’s customer service policy at all levels
- Maintain administrative process (customer orders, quotations, pro-formas, enquiries) We offer a market related cost to company package inclusive of a membership of a medical aid and Provident fund.

- Computer literate (MS Office suite) and MS Outlook
- Good communication skills and excellent telephone etiquette
- Proficient in English
- Previous experience in an academic bookstore environment is a strong recommendation
