Hire Resolve Client is looking for an experienced Regional Nurse Manager to join their team in, Durban.Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Staff Management:
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff.
- Recruit, train, and ensure continuous professional development of nurses.
- Handle staff scheduling, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
- Patient Care & Safety:
- Ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to best practices.
- Implement infection control and safety measures.
- Address patient complaints and concerns effectively.
- Operational & Financial Management:
- Manage nursing department budgets and resources efficiently.
- Ensure proper stock control of medical supplies and equipment.
- Monitor compliance with hospital policies and healthcare laws.
- Policy Development & Compliance:
- Ensure the department meets SANC, Department of Health, and hospital accreditation standards.
- Develop and implement policies and protocols to improve patient care and nursing operations.
- Coordination & Collaboration:
- Work closely with doctors, hospital administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
- Represent the nursing team in hospital management meetings.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (e.g., BCur or equivalent).
- A Postgraduate Diploma or Degree in Nursing Management/Administration is often preferred.
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse
- Minimum of 5-10 years of nursing experience, with several years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in managing teams and working in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills .
- Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and legal healthcare regulations (including SANC and Department of Health guidelines).
- Financial and budget management skills.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in health information systems and administrative tasks.
