Join this progressive organisation as a Senior Quantity Surveyor - in the Development Division the broad function of this position is to contribute to the management of the property development projects being undertaken by the division

KPA's:

New Construction Projects

  • Accurately and timeously undertake quantity measures to perform cost estimates.
  • Manage and achieve maximum cost effectiveness of the building work by proactive involvement in subcontractor control and budget management.
  • Assist the site management teams by the provision of construction activity programs.
  • To derive best value from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Commercial vetting of sub-contractor tendered prices and terms.
  • Certification and assess sub-contractors invoices / claims and process for payment.
  • Timely negotiation and conclusion of contractor final accounts.
  • Liaise and assist Cost Accountant in compiling budget performance and reforecasts.
  • Prepare and monitor project cashflow forecasts.

Refurbishment Projects

  • Accurately and timeously undertake quantity measures to perform cost estimates.
  • Manage and achieve maximum cost effectiveness of the building work by proactive involvement in subcontractor control and budget management.
  • Assist the site management teams by the provision of construction activity programs.
  • To derive best value from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Commercial vetting of sub-contractor tendered prices and terms.
  • Certification and assess sub-contractors invoices / claims and process for payment.
  • Timely negotiation and conclusion of contractor final accounts.
  • Liaise and assist Cost Accountant in compiling budget performance and reforecasts.
  • Prepare and monitor project cashflow forecasts.

Operational Department assistance:

  • Assist with tenant installation cost estimates and building alteration work. Assist and give guidance with the tenant installation work by involvement in subcontractor control and budget management.
  • Assist with cost estimates for redevelopment of existing buildings
  • Assist by the provision of construction activity programs.
  • To derive best value from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Commercial vetting of sub-contractor tendered prices and terms.
  • Certification and assess sub-contractors invoices / claims and process for payment.
  • Prepare and monitor project cashflow forecasts.

General:

  • Assist Development Manager with a range of other duties as may be required
