Job Description:
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
Accounting & Financial Management: Execute monthly closing procedures efficiently and accurately. Analyze assets, liabilities, income, and expenses to ensure valid and complete reporting. Maintain and update the chart of accounts, ensuring correct account entries. Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations. Process and validate invoices in accordance with predefined rates and invoicing portfolios. Perform VAT reconciliations and prepare SARS submission packs for timely submission. Handle tax audits by providing accurate and timely information. Assist in documenting and monitoring internal controls to ensure compliance
Executive Support: Manage executives' appointment schedules, including coordinating meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel arrangements. Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth daily business operations. Prepare documents for director approvals, ensuring deadlines are met, and assist directors in sourcing tenders and managing the bid process
Facilities and Vendor Management: Source service providers and office equipment while ensuring proper benchmarking Liaise with the landlord regarding lease agreements and maintenance issues. Oversee building projects, renovations, and ensure facilities comply with government regulations, health, and security standards
Compliance and Administration: Prepare and file BBBEE Affidavits, conduct KYC, FICA, and other compliance registrations, handle bank account applications, and register the company to relevant databases and systems. Monitor action items during meetings, take minutes, and ensure they are signed off for filing. Manage contracts by creating and maintaining accessible registers for easy reference
Reporting & Analysis: Report financial performance to directors for entities under their portfolios and provide financial updates to the CFO. Integrate feedback from the CFO and directors to make timely corrections and improvements. Analyze monthly management accounts and report on any variances
Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in MS Office and NetSuite
System Processing
2-3 years experience in management accounting
Qualification:
Relevant Finance or Accounting diploma/degree
Completed Matric (Grade 12)
