Bookkeeper Newlands Cape Town
Our commercial client is looking for a Bookkeeper/ Assistant Accountant with min 3 years experience in the full bookkeeping/accounting cycle up to trial balance for multiple companies reporting to the accountant (PASTEL/ SAGE).
Salary up to R 30 000pm
Min Requirements
Financial/Accounting/Bookkeeping Certificate/ Diploma or degree added bonus
Minimum 3 years relevant bookkeeping / accounting experience.
Computer literate in MS Office and advanced Excel.
Pastel experience essential
Proven track record with excellent references needed
Responsibilities
Assist in the Full bookkeeping/accounting function, up to trail balance for multiple companies Income statement and Balance sheet
Preparing monthly balance sheet recons (including schedules).
Pastel processing: monthly journal entries and daily cashbook entries.
General ledger maintenance
Ensure integrity and accuracy of accounts.
Prepare journals, accruals and adjustments as necessary.
Assist with month-end and yearend closing activities.
Inter-company recharges and transactions.
Cashbook management: Daily cash management and bank reconciliation of multiple entities.
Debtors and creditors function.
Assisting with audits and independent reviews for all group companies.
Assist with Vat/Tax administration, working with Accountant and Tax practitioner.
Fixed asset register maintenance.
