New vacancy is available for a Service Technician for our client in the Chemical and Hygiene Industry based in George. The service technician will provide a professional installation of dosing equipment for customers in the area. Key Responsibilities: Business Development: Maintain brand reputation and professionalism. Conduct about ten client calls daily and submit weekly reports to the Sales Manager. Follow a 4-to-6-week client call planning cycle. Monitor sales and profit activities. Customer Relationship Management: Complete and discuss service reports with clients; submit copies to the Sales Manager. Conduct staff training for clients and manage related documentation. Build relationships within client portfolios (e.g., buyers, managers). Provide timely service and assistance; assist with deliveries as needed. Address customer needs regarding products and their utilization. Manage technical installations and maintenance of dosing equipment. Offer emergency service coverage after hours. Foster relationships through innovative products and ongoing training. Communication and Feedback: Attend sales meetings and communicate insights about competitors and accounts to the Sales Manager. Submit weekly reports; adhere to data communication standards and deadlines. Administration Services: Support Debtors department with follow-ups and ensure correct client forms are completed. Update clients contact info and manage product merchandising. Maintain HSE standards and perform stock management as needed. Self-Development: Broaden knowledge of products and industry trends through continuous learning and training. Personal Attributes: Presentable, with excellent communication and coordination skills. Ability to produce accurate results under deadlines and work independently or as part of a team. Capable of handling pressure with a methodical and analytical mindset. Positive, self-motivated, and emotionally mature, with high integrity and attention to detail. Experience and Qualifications Summary: Qualified Electrician or Electrical Diploma from a recognized institution. Minimum of 5 years of practical experience. Hands-on ability to collaborate with team members. Skilled in installing and maintaining laundry dosing equipment and programming laundry machines. Experienced in installing dish machines and chemical dosing units, as well as maintaining and repairing industrial dish-machines. Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Computer Literacy Intermediate knowledge in other MS Office packages (e.g. Word, Power Point etc.) Intermediate knowledge of virtual programmes (e.g. MS Teams, Zoom etc.) SECTOR: Chemical
