Landscaper / Garden Service Team Leader
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Landscaper / Garden Service Team Leader with at least 3 years of managerial and planning experience in landscaping and garden maintenance. The successful candidate will have expertise in managing landscaping projects, leading a team of gardeners (x4), and ensuring high-quality, visually appealing outdoor spaces for residential and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of landscapers and garden maintenance staff (x4).
Oversee and execute landscaping projects including design, planting, turfing, irrigation installation, and garden maintenance.
Design and implement landscape layouts, ensuring aesthetic and functional outcomes.
Develop and maintain planting schemes, lawns, trees, shrubs, and other horticultural elements.
Provide expert advice on plant care, pest control, and garden maintenance.
Ensure gardens and outdoor areas are maintained to a high standard of health and appearance.
Coordinate daily operations, scheduling tasks, and ensuring all work is completed on time and within budget.
Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are safe, operational, and properly stored.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service.
Assist in the preparation of quotes and project planning.
Conduct site assessments and offer guidance on landscape improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of managerial and plan experience in landscaping or horticulture.
Strong understanding of plant care, horticultural practices, and landscape design.
Proven experience leading a team of landscapers and managing projects.
Ability to read and interpret landscape design plans and blueprints.
Excellent knowledge of garden maintenance, including pruning, mowing, and weeding.
Familiarity with landscape tools, machinery, and equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems).
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
Full, valid driver’s license is an essential requirement
Working hours: 5 days per week (must be able to work over weekends and public holidays in shifts, in which case he/she will receive an off day during the week).
