Ons is op soek na 'n hoogs georganiseerde Patentsekretaresse om die senior patentprokureur te ondersteun met administratiewe take. Jy sal 'n belangrike rol speel in die bestuur van lêers, hantering van regsdokumentasie, en om daaglikse werksprosesse glad te laat verloop. Sleutelverantwoordelikhede:
- Bestuur en koördineer dagboeke, afsprake en vergaderings
- Opstel, tik en proeflees van regsdokumente, patentspesifikasies en korrespondensie
- Hou rekord van kritiese sperdatums
- Hanteer e-poskommunikasie en korrespondensie professioneel
- Organiseer en onderhou alle lêers
- Werk saam met kliënte, diensverskaffers en patent-/ontwerpkantore
- Beantwoord oproepe en help met algemene administratiewe take

Patent Secretary – Stellenbosch (Hybrid Work Model)
Position: Patent Secretary
Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape
Employment Type: Full-time | Hybrid Work Model
Salary: R6,000 – R16,000 (negotiable based on experience)
We are looking for a highly organised Patent Secretary to support the senior patent attorney in handling patent-related administrative tasks. You will play a key role in managing files, handling legal documentation, scheduling, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate diaries, appointments, and meetings
- Draft, type, and proofread legal documents, patent specifications, and correspondence
- Keep track of critical deadlines to ensure timely submissions
- Handle email communication and correspondence professionally
- Maintain and organise digital and physical files
- Liaise with clients, service providers, and patent/design offices
- Answer calls and assist with general administrative duties

- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Excellent typing and transcription skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

- Senior certificate (matric) and computer literacy
- Own transport and preferably residing in or near Stellenbosch
- Familiarity with docketing systems and legal filing processes (advantageous)
