Our client is seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Sous Chef to join their culinary team at their prestigious 5-star game lodge. You will assist the Head Pastry Chef in creating exceptional pastries, desserts, and baked goods that reflect our lodge’s high standards. This is a hands-on position that requires leadership, creativity, and a love for fine dining. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of all pastry and dessert items for the lodge’s fine dining and special events.
  • Supervise and mentor junior pastry staff, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Maintain inventory levels, ensuring the kitchen is fully stocked with the necessary ingredients.
  • Assist in menu development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal and themed desserts.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and cleanliness in the pastry section.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to create memorable guest experiences.
  • Handle special dietary requests and ensure high-quality, personalized dishes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, with a minimum of 3-5 years in high-end establishments.
  • A formal culinary qualification (Pastry Diploma or equivalent).
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and creativity in pastry design and presentation.
  • Experience with special dietary requirements (gluten-free, vegan, etc.) is a plus.
