Description:
The cost estimator will support the activities of the external sales team & will report to the Sales manager.An opportunity exists for a service driven, methodical administrator and sourcing specialist with exposure in branding and sourcing of promotional products and corporate gifts. The main purpose of this role is to source products, generate quotes and place orders
The successful candidate will need to:
Ensure all quote requests are submitted correctly and within the companies time frame as set out in our SLA’s
Attend to all administrative tasks within the required timeframes including supplier PO’s and customer PO's.
Calculating costings
Putting together proposals that are as per clients brief or requirements
Proposing products to clients
Negotiate with suppliers for the best possible price in order to maintain beneficial GP
Offer and suggest alternative product and/or services in order to meet end users deadlines
Provide first line sales telephonic assistance to customers
Identify sales opportunities
Following up on quotations
Communicating & updating the external sales executive on all quotations
Handing over quotations which have received Purchase orders to the production team
Assisting management with ad hoc projects and requests where necessary
Ensuring documentation is submitted timeously
In dept CI knowledge for all allocated customers
Various office administrative duties
Working with various departments within the company to ensure orders are completed in time and according to our company standards – includes briefing departments accordingly in order for them to fulfil their duties
Requirements:
Requirements:At least 3-5 years’ experience in sales administration, quoting and/or production
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Basic Financial acumen and analytical behavior
Must be efficient, organized and able to multi-task
Excellent interpersonal skills in target driver environment and ability to liaise on all levels
Managing Production and/or knowledge of production
Knowledge of CI and CAD approvals will be beneficial
Excellent ability to plan, organise & handle customer queries
Sense of urgency
Must have own vehicle
Computer Literate (MS Office, Netsuite, Accpac or Sage)
Must be proficient in English & Afrikaans
Ability to take initiative and work unsupervised
Strong phone presence and willing to telephonically call clients and suppliers and speak to them
