Cost Accountant (Manufacturing)

Description:

Cost accountant required to fulfill the role of a Junior Production Controller needed for a manufacturing medical company based in Modderfontien.
MUST have Manufacturing experience. NON negotiable.


Candidate's duties are as follows:

• Collect and sign Batch Manufacturing Records
• Create, release and closure of SAP process orders
• Check and Verify Batch Manufacturing Records reconciliations balance prior to close process order in SAP
• Communicate any batch reconciliation errors to production pharmacists
• Communicate production updates and errors to Manager on regular basis
• Production Stock Replenishment - Create Transfer Orders for Warehouse picking of raw materials, primary and secondary packaging as per batch manufactured, daily
• Update Raw material tracking schedule
• Update WIP tracker with finished goods
• Provide Financial analysis and support to management
• Create, maintain and update BOMs & Recipes on the accounting system (ERP: SAP)
• Ensure compliance with internal controls
• Prepare and review details product costing analysis
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Immediately reports any defects in the building, equipment, or any other safety concern to the Warehouse Manager
• Attends to any other requests as per management
• Ensures adherence to all Statutory and Legal requirements applicable to all activities within South AfricaCandidate would need:
  
  • Min Diploma/Degree in Cost Accounting
  • Min 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • SAP Manufacturing Module experience
  • Microsoft Office (excel, word)
  • Ability to interpret and execute SOPs and work instructions
  • Command of the English language written and spoken
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
