- Purpose of the job:
The Trainers’ role is to reduce donor acquisition staff turnover by unlocking potential/talent and ensuring that fundraising targets are met through training new staff, coaching existing staff, advising on the best ways of incentivising, and presenting a clear career development path to staff. The trainer must lead by example by providing inspirational leadership. Face to face fundraising experience is key.
Description of responsibilities:
Team results- Ensure the team achieves team fundraising targets by regularly analyzing the team and individual recruiters' results and supporting recruiters and team leaders in meeting targets by training, coaching and motivating.
- In conjunction with the DDC manager and team leaders, set fundraising targets. The targets address the key management targets: sign-ups per hour, age, average gift, staff turnover, etc.
- Set daily and/or weekly objectives for each recruiter and team.
- The objectives can consist of key performance indicators (KPIs) (sign-ups per hour, average gift) as well as qualitative targets (focusing on stopping a particular group of people, improving the script, improving objections handling, closing, etc.).
- Weekly performance management sessions with recruiters and team leaders and monthly with DDC manager’s presence for the team leaders.
