Job Description:The Company specializes in supply chain visibility, offering innovative software solutions to clients in the fruit and aquaculture industries. They are seeking a highly motivated Area Manager to lead their sales team in the North Area, drive revenue growth, and enhance customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Manager to achieve regional sales goals
  • Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives to consistently hit sales targets.
  • Conduct regular sales coaching, performance reviews, and training to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Identify and prioritize new business opportunities within the region.
  • Manage customer concerns, debtors' issues, and customer service within the region.
  • Work closely with HQ to ensure accurate forecasting and strong sales and marketing plans.
  • Provide detailed reports to HQ on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity.

Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Lead and motivate a team of product specialists to deliver excellent support services.
  • Proactively address customer concerns, escalating when necessary for timely resolution.
  • Conduct regular customer review meetings to ensure high retention.

Market Analysis and Strategy:
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Manager to develop and implement region-specific marketing plans.
  • Assist in executing targeted campaigns and promotional activities.

Team Management:
  • Work with HQ to recruit, hire, and onboard new sales representatives and product specialists
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and support to team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and goal-setting to ensure a high-performance culture.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in sales management, team leadership, and business development.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution abilities.
  • Excellent negotiation, coaching, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Experience in the South African Fruit Industry is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
  • A driver’s license is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and perform under pressure.
