Contracts Manager ( Aloe Ridge-Western Cape)
Minimum of 1 8 years experience as a contracts manager in the civil engineering industry.
( Experience in r oad layer works kerbs , b ulk earthwork s , stormwater , and sewer reticulation )
Minimum Requirements and KPAs
Ndip/ B T ech / BSc in civil engineering.
R egistered with ECSA as a Professional Civil Engineer, Technologist, or Technician.
Or r egistered with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Project Manager or Professional Construction Manager.
Own vehicle will be an added advantage .
Leading, managing, and developing technical staff to ensure smooth business operations.
Provision of accurate and timely resources and assets to assist with the implementation of projects.
Establishing and managing budget, controlling expenditures, and ensuring the efficient use of resources and assets.
Analyzing complex resources management issues and initiatives that affect the organization, and preparing stakeholder reports, and correspondence submissions.
Approval of costs i.e., invoices, purchase orders, and final payments spreadsheet.
Prepare and coordinate weekly activities including but not limited to, meetings, procurement, revenue and cost monitoring, and site visits.
Directing and overseeing all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, including scheduling and organizing workers tasks and materials.
Ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget by managing daily operations such as equipment maintenance and labor scheduling.
Work together with the SHEQ Manager in developing and enforcing safety standards, policies, and procedures for site activities.
Ensure all required tests are timeously undertaken (Quality Assurance).
Ensure the correct commercial engagement of subcontractors (rates, contract agreement).
Complete and distribute the contract initiation/completion certificate for each project.
Ensure weekly review of progress, and budget resources, and forward the planning to the Operations Director
Chair and attend internal and external meetings and ensure the production of accurate records of any discussion and actions.
Ensure timely management of both temporary and permanent designs to meet the requirements of each project.
