Description:
- Completing inspections of mechanical parts and booking into inventory, ahead of production
- Completing timely inspection of sub-assemblies during manufacturing to ensure a smooth production flow
- Ensuring that all goods and sub-assemblies are sent to customers/external parties according to documented specifications and in pristine condition
- Ensuring defects identified, are documented and addressed with the respective subcontractors
- Enforcing conformance to procedures and quality standards across the production facility
- Performing calibration and verification audits of tools and equipment monthly
- Performing any other assigned duties related to quality assurance in the production facility
Requirements:

- Grade 12 qualification or equivalent, with a Higher Certificate (NQF 5) in a mechanical-related field.
- The ideal candidate for the role will have 2-5 years quality control experience within a manufacturing environment, focused on mechanics.
- Exposure to electronics will be an advantage.
- Specific experience that supports the effective execution of this role:
- 2 or more proven years’ experience in mechanical inspections within a manufacturing environment
- 5 or more years working with computers, specifically the MS Office Suite
- 3 or more years’ experience with reading technical drawings
- 2 or more years’ experience working in a formal Quality Management System (ISO-9001 certified company preferred)
- 2 or more years working in an engineering support role
- 2 or more proven years’ experience in mechanical inspections within a manufacturing environment
- 5 or more years working with computers, specifically the MS Office Suite
