Our esteemed client is seeking a Payroll Administrator - Junior Accounts Clerk to join their team in Morningside
The ideal candidate will have over five years of payroll experience, a relevant tertiary qualification (degree or diploma), and a strong background in handling complex payroll calculations
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather all payroll data
- Payroll calculations for commissions, shift work, overtime, increases, bonuses etc.
- Payroll processing
- Reconciliation of all payroll accounts and payroll cashbooks
- Preparing and loading all payroll related payments
- Capturing and submitting EMP201s
- Generate all payroll reports
- Oversee all leave balances
- Assisting employees with payroll related queries
- Attend to all Provident, Medical Aid and other 3 rd party submissions and maintain relationship with brokers
- Maintaining employee records
- Maintain and update payroll systems
- Submission of the EMP501's
- Submission of Workman's Compensation
- Attend to all payroll related SARS audits and verifications
- Employment Equity - Compile date and ensure submissions are done timeously
- General payroll related filing
- Cashbook processing and reconciliations
- Capturing of supplier invoices
- Reconciliation of suppliers
- Preparing payment packs
- Ad hoc administration and filing
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Relevant Tertiary qualification - Degree or Diploma
- 5 years plus relevant payroll experience
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills - formulas
Knowledge and Skills:
- Broad scope of experience in small to medium sized companies
- Work experience within an accounts department an advantage
