Warehouse Supervisor / Warehouse Manager

Description:

We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor / Warehouse Manager for a company that deals with heavy equipment in the Durban area (Newlands East). The successful candidate will have experience with safety regulations and certificates for operating heaving equipment. Requirements:

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
• 2-3 Years in a warehouse role
• Familiarity with safety regulations and certifications for operating heavy equipment.
• Syspro Knowledge.
• Strong Communication Skills.
• Warehouse Management

Responsibilities:

• Carry out all general warehouse management duties and procedures.
• Manage receipt and dispatch of equipment.
• Preparing of warehouse for stock take.
• Supervision of delivery and delivery staff.
• To follow-up on all customer complaints relating to delivery shortages/inaccuracies/damaged stock, etc. in order to maintain good customer relations.
• Ensuring the on-going maintenance and updating of the warehouse computer system in accordance with the agreed procedures/ standards.
• Ensuring that absenteeism, labour turnover, late-coming, overtime and the employment of casuals remain within acceptable limits at all times.
• To ensure that all staff wear the appropriate protective clothing and equipment in the warehouse.
