Permanent Specialist: Emergency Medical Services

A financial services organisation is seeking to appoint a Specialist: Emergency Medical Services. Purpose of the Job: Reporting to the Manager: Medical Advisory, the successful incumbent is accountable to manage the standard of clinical care by developing and maintaining clinical standards and supporting strategies. Qualification and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree/ Advanced Diploma in an Emergency medical services related qualification. National Ambulance Emergency Assistant Certification (AAA) or Intermediate. Registration with the HPCSA as a Paramedic ILS Minimum/ ALS Desired. Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification will be an advantage. Relevant 5 - 7 years’ experience in Emergency Management Environment. Experience in working with ICD 10 codes (diagnosis codes) will be an advantage. Experience in Healthcare Administration and Funding industry. Experience in medical claims, related charges, and clinical audit of claims. Technical and Behavioral Competencies Required Resilience.
