Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all transactions in the general ledger are valid, accurate, and complete. Oversee and review bank reconciliations prepared by bookkeepers. Prepare and submit monthly financial packs, including balance sheet reconciliations. Manage statutory and tax obligations, ensuring compliance with deadlines. Assist in tax submissions and oversee tax compliance. Support internal audits and year-end financial statement preparation. Participate in finance improvement projects, including system implementations and process efficiencies. Collaborate with internal departments to align financial strategies with business objectives.Requirements:
Qualification: Bachelors degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting or related field (CA(SA), CIMA, or SAIPA in progress is advantageous). Experience: 2-3 years in a Financial Accountant role or completion of articles. Knowledge of multi-national group structures across Africa/UK is beneficial. Experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and financial reporting. Strong understanding of VAT, corporate tax returns, and regulatory requirements. Exposure to financial services or regulated industries is advantageous. Proficiency in MS Excel and financial data analysis.Competencies:
