Description:
PURPOSE OF ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage multi-disciplinary and multi-phase industrial projects. The role focuses on delivering successful projects while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring compliance with company processes.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Lead and manage complex multi-disciplinary industrial projects through their full lifecycle
- Ensure project delivery within agreed budgets, timelines, and quality standards
- Develop and maintain project management plans and documentation
- Manage stakeholder relationships including clients, subcontractors, and vendors
- Drive financial performance through budget control and cash flow management
- Implement risk management strategies and quality control measures
- Mentor and guide project team members
- Identify and develop business opportunities with existing clients
- Ensure compliance with company processes and standards across all project phases
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in Process, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (B.Eng or BSc)
- Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) advantageous
- Professional Project Management registration (Pr. CPM) advantageous
- Contract management training (ECC & PSC) beneficial
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 10 years' experience in multi-disciplinary project management
- Demonstrated experience in complete project lifecycle management (engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning)
- Practical site construction experience
- Proven track record in successful delivery of large-scale projects
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS COMPETENCIES
Knowledge:
- Thorough understanding of PMBOK project management principles
- Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
- In-depth understanding of contract management
- Comprehensive grasp of project scheduling
- Sound knowledge of regulatory and safety governance
- Strong understanding of business principles and organizational processes
Skills:
- Advanced computer literacy (MS Office suite)
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera, MS Projects)
- Experience with ERP systems and project collaboration platforms
- Excellent technical competency
- Strong communication abilities
