Multi Modal Controller (Clearing & Forwarding)

Description:

You will be responsible for ensuring seamless freight movement across various transport modes while driving customer retention, supporting new business initiatives, and enhancing overall client satisfaction through proactive engagement and operational guidance.

Requirements:

South African citizen Code B drivers license and own transport Willing to work overtime and be available after business hours

Qualifications & Experience:

Senior Certificate (NQF 4) 3-5 years of experience in the Clearing & Forwarding and/or supply chain industry Minimum 3-5 years in an operational Clearing & Forwarding role
Experience dealing with shipping lines, co-loaders, and transporters (beneficial) ShipShape knowledge (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities & Competencies:

Strong understanding of multimodal logistics and the full supply chain, including import/export process flows Proven track record of end-to-end freight movement coordination (import/export) Expertise in customs clearance, bond store coordination, insurance arrangements, and claims processing
Ability to compile status reports, summarize transport schedules, and provide key updates Sound knowledge of pricing principles, commercial and financial aspects to improve company performance Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions. The final remuneration package is negotiable R33k - R35k pm, but the client has the prerogative to extend an offer outside the range considering the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
