Our client is looking for a young and energetic, detail-oriented Trainee/Junior Accountant to join their team. As a SAIPA accredited accountant who has already completed articles, you'll have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the Finance and Hospitality industries, working closely with senior financial managers and chartered accountants.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accounting duties and bookkeeping tasks.
- Conduct data capturing and analysis of financial statements.
- Process and manage VAT and tax returns.
- Provide support across all accounting functions.
- Collaborate with senior financial managers and accountants on various accounting and financial tasks.
Key Requirements:
- SAIPA accredited and articles completed.
- A relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional proficiency in Afrikaans.
- Understanding of statutory requirements (e.g., VAT, PAYE, UIF, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and any accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure.
- A strong desire to learn and grow within the accounting profession.
