Internal Sales (Steel Industry) - Epping Cape TownOur client in the steel industry is looking for a dynamic, driven and motivated Internal Salesperson to join their team.The ideal candidate should have Steel & Tube and / or Sheet & Plate experience as this would be hugely beneficial.Candidate MUST be Cape Town basedDuties and responsibilities include but not limited to:Answering of incoming calls and converting enquiries into salesHandling of customer complaints & queriesEnsuring that there is a set system to capture sales, enquiries / orders and monitor the informationQuoting by phone and emailReceiving and processing of sales orders onto SysproSourcing of stock (standard and non-standard) from approved supplierschecking on back orders on a daily basis and release invoices for deliveryExpediting of sales orders (deliveries)General office dutiesUpdating of customer discount structures on SysproLiaise with Warehouse Manager regarding deliveriesLeasing with external sales staffAccompany externals sales staff on customer visits as and when requiredProviding leads to external sales staffAll quotes to be followed upOrders to liaised with the responsible external sales representativeEnsure to keep credits at a minimum and follow the credit procedureStock-taking knowledge advantageous as this role requires the candidate to assist with stock-taking duties Qualifications :- Matric
- 3 years' experience in sales within the Steel & Tube industry
- Computer literate - Syspro - advantageous
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player - must work within the team structure
- Organize - maintain backorders / deliveries, etc
- Multi-tasking - ability to handle more than one task
- Customer service centric
- Strong sales - ability to promote, market and upsell full range of products
- Good financial acumen
- Proactive with problem solving skills
- Innovative - problem solving skills
- Honest and reliable
- Excellent timekeeping
