Automation Technician

Description:

Hire Resolve’s client, a well-established paper manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled Automation Technician to join their team in Springs, GP. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of automated systems used in paper production, including sensors, controllers, motors, and actuators.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

• Performing regular maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on automated paper production machinery and systems to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
• The technician will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime, conduct emergency repairs, and support equipment optimization.
• In addition, the technician may assist with the installation and upgrading of new systems and equipment to enhance the production process.
• Accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance is crucial, along with providing detailed reports to management on machinery status.
• Collaboration with other technicians, operators, and engineers is essential to optimize automation systems, and the technician will provide technical support to operators as needed to ensure seamless production.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 :

• Proven experience in a similar technical role within the paper or manufacturing industry is essential, along with expertise in industrial automation systems, controls, and troubleshooting paper production machinery.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining automated equipment, as well as familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and SCADA systems, is required.
• The role demands the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• The technician must be physically capable of working in industrial environments, including working at heights or in confined spaces, with a focus on safety and precision.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to safely handle tools and machinery are important.
