Description:
The IT Director will be responsible for developing and overseeing the company’s IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role involves leading IT transformation initiatives to enhance operational success. The incumbent will manage an annual operating budget, a salary bill, and an annual Capex, while overseeing a team of staff members. Education- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Industry certifications in networking, programming, systems operations (advantageous).
- Background in the healthcare technology sector is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years in IT specializations (project planning, system design, programming, etc.).
- At least 10 years leading an IT department.
- Experience in software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
- Healthcare insurance industry experience (advantageous).
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
- Expertise in IT governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Leadership and team-building abilities.
- Project management proficiency.
- Proficiency in English & Afrikaans.
- Valid driver’s license.
