Description:
Our client in Paarl is in need of a Junior Construction Manager/Project Manager who will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities:Project Coordination: Â Assist in managing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Quality Control: Â Conduct inspections to identify defects or incomplete work, creating detailed snag lists for rectification.
Team Supervision: Â Oversee and direct construction teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Stakeholder Communication: Â Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Documentation: Â Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, schedules, and budgets.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:  A relevant  degree or diploma in Construction Management or a related field.
Experience: Â At least 2 years of hands-on experience in residential construction, with a strong focus on quality control and snagging/de-snagging processes.
Skills:
Proficient in using construction project management software and tools.
Familiarity with local construction regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Additional Requirements:
Valid driverâs license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Own transport is non-negotiable
