Description:
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy & manage nonstock items (Stock-take at month end). Receiving and dispatching of all stock and raw materials required for daily operations.
- System & Data Management: Be able to use computer system to manage inventory data, track stock levels, & maintain records & reports using Excel.
- Fleet Management: Tracking and monitoring of drivers and vehicles that are on delivery. Record keeping of driver’s overtime. Route planning for all deliveries to maximize the delivery success rate and cut down on operating costs. Vehicle maintenance – ensure that the vehicles are kept clean and serviced on time.
- Physical Stock Management: Move & organize stock within the warehouse, load & unload shipments using a forklift, or physically
- Picking & Packing: Accurately pick & pack orders according to customer specifications & ensuring picking accuracy by double-checking items before being dispatched. Loading/offloading of suppliers, containers and vehicles
- Forklift Operation: Operate forklift safely & efficiency to move, locate, relocate, stack, load & count inventory in the warehouse
- Housekeeping: Maintenance or recording-keeping to facilitate productive work. Warehouse to be kept clean and tidy at all times
- General Supervision: Management of warehouse staff and drivers.
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12
- +5 years' experience in health care sector would be advantageous
- Valid drivers' license
- Forklift license, if expired proof of expired forklift license
- Experience with use of courier service providers
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
