Position Overview:
As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of the company, providing strategic financial leadership, and ensuring the effective stewardship of company resources. You will collaborate with senior management to drive performance and operational efficiency, ensuring the company remains financially robust in a competitive market. This position is ideal for a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the property and real estate industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the finance function, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and strategic reports.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to enhance profitability, cash flow, and investment performance.
• Drive the organizations financial planning and analysis processes, providing clear, actionable insights to executive management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate governance requirements, including all JSE listing obligations.
• Manage relationships with investors, analysts, and external auditors.
• Oversee the development and implementation of financial systems and controls.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Support M&A activity, capital raises, and other strategic initiatives.
  Qualifications and Requirements:
  
  • CA(SA), or equivalent financial qualification.
  • A minimum of 8 years of commercial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial management role within the property or real estate industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and corporate governance practices.
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance and managing large, complex portfolios.
  • Experience in navigating JSE listing requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a solid understanding of real estate market dynamics and financial trends.
