An electrical engineering firm in Nelspruit is seeking a heavy current electrical engineer. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer (Heavy Current) to join our dynamic team.Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Create electrical system designs, layouts, and plans for heavy current systems including power distribution, motor control, and protection systems.
- Project Management: Oversee electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client requirements.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues related to heavy current systems. Conduct regular maintenance checks on systems to ensure optimum performance.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all electrical designs, installations, and operations comply with industry standards, regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams, contractors, and clients to ensure efficient project execution.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, designs, and documentation for project progress and compliance records.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
- Experience: Experience in heavy current electrical engineering, with a focus on [specific industries, e.g., power generation, industrial automation, etc.].
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, etc.), electrical schematics, power distribution systems, and motor control systems.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex electrical issues.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
