As they continue to grow, they are looking for a dynamic and strategic Financial Manager to provide operational and financial leadership within their manufacturing operations. Role Overview:My client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Manager to take charge of operational finance, governance, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis for our Johannesburg South manufacturing operation. This key role will require a strong, assertive individual who can not only lead financial operations but also influence the wider business strategy through active, strategic support and clear communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Finance & Governance: Oversee financial operations, ensuring robust financial governance and compliance with local and global standards.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation and management of annual budgets and financial forecasts to support the manufacturing operation’s goals and growth objectives.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports and analysis to senior management, identifying key performance trends and opportunities for improvement.
- People Management: Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative environment while ensuring accountability for results.
- Strategic Business Support: Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, offering strategic financial insight to support business decision-making and growth.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Financial Manager, ideally within a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Strong understanding of operational finance, budgeting, forecasting, and governance.
- Excellent financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor a team.
- Strong strategic thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills – able to voice strong opinions and provide constructive input to senior leadership.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Based in Johannesburg South, with the expectation to work from the office daily.
Qualifications:
- Bcom Accounting Degree
- ACMA is essential
- Advanced Excel skills
