About the Role:My client is looking for a highly skilled Fraud Data Scientist to join their team. The successful candidate will be pivotal in mitigating transactional fraud by leveraging data to uncover insights, enhance decision-making, and optimize fraud detection models. This role focuses on minimizing fraud losses while ensuring minimal disruption to legitimate transactions. Key Responsibilities:- Develop and refine fraud detection models for payment processes.
- Assess client risk profiles and adjust detection models and thresholds as needed.
- Troubleshoot system anomalies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Monitor system performance using industry metrics and client-specific data.
- Manage and integrate new fraud data feeds as required.
- Provide technical insights and data support to business teams.
- Contribute to ad-hoc fraud investigations and analytics projects.
- AWS experience is a must – Candidates without AWS experience will not be considered.
- MSc or BSc in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in fraud detection, data analytics, or statistical modeling.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, SQL, and data wrangling techniques.
- Experience with big data analytics, scripting, and programming.
