My client, a leading FMCG organisation, is seeking a Warehouse Distribution Manager with a strong focus on systems, network design, and cost optimisation. This is not your typical DC/Warehouse Manager role, it requires a highly analytical and strategic thinker with a background in finance and actuarial analysis to drive modernisation, cost-effective planning, and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:
Design and optimize the warehouse distribution network, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Develop models and optimization strategies to improve warehouse operations, delivery modes, and overall supply chain efficiency. Analyze financial and operational data to influence cost-effective planning, forecasting, and budget management. Lead modernization projects to improve warehouse footprint, automation, and digital transformation initiatives. Manage and enhance customer service models, ensuring timely and cost-effective order fulfillment. Drive innovation in warehouse and distribution operations, finding smart, data-driven solutions to improve productivity. Oversee distribution cost modeling, scenario planning, and financial risk analysis. Collaborate with senior leadership and external stakeholders to implement best practices in logistics and distribution. Manage and develop a team of analysts, leveraging insights to drive strategic improvements. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, financial policies, and operational best practices.Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. 10-15 years of experience in warehouse distribution, network design, and supply chain optimization. Strong financial and actuarial background, with experience in cost modeling and forecasting. Minimum of 5 years in a senior managerial role, leading strategic warehouse or supply chain initiatives. Proven expertise in network design, warehouse systems, and distribution optimization. Experience with modern warehouse technologies, automation, and ERP systems.
