Starke Ayres is the foremost African specialist and global supplier of premium vegetable, flower and lawn seed varieties – both for commercial and home garden planting. The following position has become available for a General Worker, based in Kempton Park. The purpose of this role is to assist with Packing of different varieties and seed lots, according to company Standard Operating Procedures.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Receive seed-lots for Packing, and confirm type of Packing is correct.
- Check / verify quantities, kinds, varieties and lot numbers of seed received for Packing against the information supplied on the relevant job card.
- Accurately weigh / check weigh containers according to prescribed procedures after application.
- Close and label containers/ bags of processed / Packing seed according to prescribed procedures.
- Stack / pack containers/ bags with processed / Packing seed according to prescribed procedures.
- Operate the , treatment equipment after appropriate settings have been finalised by Supervisor.
- Clean the relevant equipment before and after use
- Maintain high levels of hygiene surrounding the work area
- Presenting of job card to Supervisor for approval & sign-off, before forwarded to next step in the process.
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 National Senior Certificate
- Previous experience is advantageous
