Job Summary:
The Warehouse & Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a keen focus on optimizing workflow, reducing costs, and maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management:
• Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
• Maintain and enforce health, safety, and security standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company guidelines.
· Develop and implement warehouse layout optimization strategies for maximum storage and workflow efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and warehouse activities.
Distribution & Logistics:
• Manage and optimize distribution strategies to meet delivery deadlines and customer expectations.
• Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure cost-effective and timely shipments.
• Implement best practices in fleet management, route planning, and carrier selection.
• Ensure all deliveries are accurately recorded and documented.
• Develop contingency plans for distribution disruptions.
Inventory Management:
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock control through regular audits.
• Minimize stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Work closely with procurement and sales teams to align stock levels with demand.
• Implement efficient inventory turnover strategies to minimize holding costs.
