Contracts Manager - Job Opportunity
Hire Resolve is seeking a Contracts Manager to join our client and to oversee and coordinate site activities, ensuring quality standards, production targets, and adherence to budgets. The role involves facilitating communication between clients and site staff, managing project parameters, and submitting financial reports. Please note, this is a Full-Time, on-site position.
Project Overview:
Construction of the New Nursing College Kimberley Phase 2A for the Department of Roads and Public Works on behalf of the Department of Health, Northern Cape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: In-depth knowledge of JBCC, formulate plans for safety, QA, contract administration, and subcontract management.
- Contract Programming: Assess and update subcontractor schedules and manage the overall programme.
- Contract Execution: Oversee procurement, safety, quality, environmental management, and contract administration. Supervise subcontractors, report on financial and project progress, and close out contracts.
- Financial & Progress Reporting: Ensure the financial success and timely completion of contracts.
- Industrial Relations & Staff Management: Supervise site staff, including training, development, and productivity.
Skills & Requirements:
- 10+ years’ experience managing contracts in the construction industry (General Building, Sewer, Roads, Water, Earthworks Projects).
- Commercial and operational knowledge with expertise in JBCC, GCC, and NEC.
- Leadership, negotiation, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Matric (Grade 12) and a BSc/BTech Degree in a Built Environment-related field.
- Proficiency in CCS, BuildSmart, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and no criminal record.
Salary: Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
