Description:
Our client, a major player in the Financial Services sector is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Project Management to lead a team of Project Managers and Scrum Masters in the delivery of multiple projects . As the Head of Project Management, you will be at the forefront of driving strategic, business, and technical projects, ensuring alignment with project governance frameworks, IT standards, and application & integration architecture
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing project delivery from start to finish, providing regular progress reports, managing risks and issues, and ensuring successful delivery in line with business objectives. You'll also play an integral part in Manco and contribute to the wider Tech Manco strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Project Managers/Scrum Masters overseeing multiple strategic, business, and technical projects within the financial services space
- Ensure all projects are delivered in compliance with project governance frameworks and IT standards
- Regular progress and status reporting on all assigned change delivery activities
- Proactively identify, manage, and report on risks, issues, and changes impacting project outcomes
- Build strong relationships with both business and technical stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and alignment with organizational goals
- Contribute to the Manco and Tech Manco strategies
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing projects, including cross-functional delivery teams
- 5 years' experience leading and managing teams
- Strong knowledge and experience with structured, agile, and/or lean project management methodologies
- PMI Certification or similar project management certification is essential
- Extensive experience in delivery of technology projects
- Experience delivering projects in the financial sector is a strong advantage
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate adoption strategies and manage stakeholder relationships
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform under pressure and manage competing priorities
