Our client, market leader in the foodservices industry is looking to hire a Key Accounts Manager, based in Cape Town

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the brands
  • Drive the growth and retention of existing customer accounts
  • Generate leads through referrals and industry networking
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver on-site training to customers, with ongoing follow-ups and refresher sessions as needed
  • Ensure customers always maintain adequate stock levels
  • Provide management with detailed progress reports on a weekly basis
  • Schedule and conduct regular visits to existing customers, both within South Africa and internationally
  • Identify and address customer concerns, ensuring timely resolution of any service issues
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote and enhance brand visibility
  • Support Key Account Managers in identifying growth opportunities and implementing solutions
  • Communicate regularly with the procurement team on strategic business initiatives
  • Allocate approximately 70% of time visiting end users and 30% engaging with dealers
  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:


  • Grade 12 (or equivalent) plus a relevant degree or tertiary qualification is essential
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role with minimum 3 years of strategic leadership exposure
  • Experience in Brand Building is highly desirable

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Report writing and analysis of current sales to identify opportunities
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills

PLEASE NOTE: Suitable candidate must have their own reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license with the ability to travel regularly
