Our client, market leader in the foodservices industry is looking to hire a Key Accounts Manager, based in Cape Town
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the brands
- Drive the growth and retention of existing customer accounts
- Generate leads through referrals and industry networking
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver on-site training to customers, with ongoing follow-ups and refresher sessions as needed
- Ensure customers always maintain adequate stock levels
- Provide management with detailed progress reports on a weekly basis
- Schedule and conduct regular visits to existing customers, both within South Africa and internationally
- Identify and address customer concerns, ensuring timely resolution of any service issues
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote and enhance brand visibility
- Support Key Account Managers in identifying growth opportunities and implementing solutions
- Communicate regularly with the procurement team on strategic business initiatives
- Allocate approximately 70% of time visiting end users and 30% engaging with dealers
- Perform other duties as required
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Grade 12 (or equivalent) plus a relevant degree or tertiary qualification is essential
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role with minimum 3 years of strategic leadership exposure
- Experience in Brand Building is highly desirable
Knowledge and Skills:
- Report writing and analysis of current sales to identify opportunities
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
PLEASE NOTE: Suitable candidate must have their own reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license with the ability to travel regularly
