Requirements:Qualifications: Post-matric qualification in the financial care industry (NQF Level 5) or relevant experience. RE1 / RE5 qualification advantageous. Experience: 2-4 years in a customer care role within short-term insurance or medical aid. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of short-term insurance, medical schemes, benefit structures, claims procedures, and industry regulations. Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, numeracy, and computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and other software).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional customer service via phone, email, walk-ins, and webchat. Resolve queries related to benefits, claims, and membership verification. Maintain accurate records and manage query resolution within service level targets. Calculate benefit quotes for services like dental and optometry. Assist with claim reviews, amendments, and resubmissions. Escalate complex queries to team leaders as needed. Ensure compliance with internal processes and industry regulations. Maintain service quality by adhering to established guidelines.
