Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities in the logistics sector.
Client Retention: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure continued business.
Industry Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the freight industry, including break bulk and full load logistics.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Negotiation & Closing: Handle contract negotiations and close deals with clients to secure long-term business.
Reporting: Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to management.
Collaboration: Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
Requirements:Experience: Proven track record in sales within the logistics or freight industry.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of freight operations, including break bulk logistics (not just full loads).
Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle objections effectively.
Work Ethic: A self-starter with a “go-getter” attitude and the ability to work independently.
Driver’s License & Own Transport: Preferred, as travel may be required.
