Main purpose of the job
The job incumbent will be responsible for managing, leading and controlling the engineering maintenance activities.
In this position, the job incumbent will be part of the engineering mechanical team (MHH) and play an important role in working closely with various engineering teams and other departments to achieve the desired equipment uptime and efficiency through effective planning and execution of maintenance of electrical equipment.
This position is a great opportunity for the incumbent to display their skills in leading teams, planning of maintenance, resolving challenges associated with breakdowns, fault finding and repairs of equipment. The job requires a self-starter, energetic individual and a doer.
The company operates on a 24hr/365-day basis. Success in this role happens when the desired uptime and throughput of equipment is achieved at the lowest cost. Risk assessments, work planning and execution will form part of your daily routine the company offers a fast paced and dynamic working environment, where the incumbent will have an opportunity to support the company in keeping up with the industry standards.
This incumbent will play a vital role in influencing the changes required to be on par with the industry standards. Minimum job requirements
- N5 & Relevant Trade Certificate (electrical).
- Computer Literacy (Basic).
- VSD (Variable Speed Drive) programming.
- MV (medium voltage) switching and equipment.
- Wireman’s licence (Master Electrician).
- 5 Years relevant working experience.
- Code 08 Drivers License.
