Possible duties:Oversee daily foundry operations, ensuring efficient production and high-quality output. Manage melting processes, mold making, casting, and finishing activities. Lead, mentor, and supervise the production team, driving performance and adherence to safety standards. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements and optimize production efficiency. Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality standards. Handle maintenance planning and troubleshooting of foundry equipment. Develop and implement cost control measures and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements:
Tertiary education in Production, Engineering, or Quality (minimum NQF6 level). A Qualified Artisan certification is advantageous, but the candidate must meet the NQF6 education requirement. At least 10 years of experience in Foundry/Melting operations. Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. In-depth knowledge of foundry processes, quality control, and safety standards.
