Description:
A reputable company with a national footprint seeks a PABX Technican to join their fast paced customer centric business. This position will be based in Bloemfontein. The successful applicant must have valid driver’s license and a clear criminal record.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Completed Grade 12/Matric.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a PABX Technician.
- Must have experience working on Yeastar & Samsung systems.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clear criminal record is Essential!
- Relevant industry qualification will be advantageous.
- Must be able to work overtime and be on standby when required
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills
- High standard of accuracy & proficiency
- Must be able to handle stress within a highly pressurised environment
- Timeous handing and completion of work and maintain minimal repeat call rate
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Programming, installation and maintenance of PABX systems
- Conduct site survey before installations
- Troubleshooting on PABX
- Configuration of ADSL, VoIP, WIFI, 3G routers
- Set up of IP PBX VoIP network
- SIP Trunks and VOIP installations
- Installations and troubleshooting of cabling infrastructure
- Voice Over IP network maintenance
- Connectivity - Fiber, Microwave links and LTE
- Data cabling and voice cabling
- Configuration of voicemail, auto attendant, spnet, least cost routing (LCR) , ring plans as well as voice and data integration
- Voice and Data integration
- Troubleshooting in a networking infrastructure
- Conduct fault finding analysis
- Upon completion of full installation, handover must be completed with the client/customer
- Up to date with H&S regulations and SOP’s (standard operating procedures)
- Communicate with customers to explain problems and procedures with the equipment
- Responsible for all boot stock allocated to you
- To ensure that the Service Coordinator is given accurate information relating to service calls and installations
- To complete all necessary paperwork relating to your job and to ensure that it is presented in an accurate manner and on time.
