Description:
Operating in the hygiene products space. We require a Head of Supply Chain reporting directly to the COO. The Head of Supply Chain assumes full accountability for the successful execution of the SCM strategy and KPIs in Logistics, Procurement, Inventory and Warehousing & Materials Management elements of the Company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review, Improve and Implement strategies to improve the efficiency and operating costs of
the complete supply chain.
• Manage and develop all supply chain operations, including Supply and Operations Planning,
Customer Care, Procurement, Logistics, and Inventory management.
• Review, Improve and bed-down key business process – S&Op process, MRP process etc.
• Identify and manage risks within the supply chain.
• Regularly review and report on supply chain performance, implementing corrective actions
where necessary.
• Implementing sound supply chain management in respect of the procurement of raw
materials and bought out items with a view to achieving 95% On Time Delivery (OTD),
containment of Purchase Price Variances (PPV), driving cost savings and improved lead times.
• Lead Value Improvement Initiatives - Collaborate with other departments to identify
opportunities for Value improvements.
• Maintaining and develop effective inventory management with a focus on availability,
inventory turns and reduction of slow and obsolete stock.
• Manage and develop the supply chain team, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Foster and build relationships with Customers supply chain personal.
• Maintain relationships with key suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure favourable terms.
Requirements:
- Senior Management: 10 years or more
- Fmcg Industry Experience: 10 years or more
REQUIREMENTS (Qualification and Skill):
• Post Graduate Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management or any other relevant
qualification (NQF7)
• Master’s in business administration will be an added advantage
• 10 years’ experience in a similar Senior Management role in a FMCG environment.
• Experience in putting together and managing high performance teams
• Experience in ERP. system is critical
• Multi-national company exposure & drafting and implementation of cost reduction strategies
• Critical Thinker with an ability to think strategically.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• The ability to develop and drive implementation of operational plans that support
organizational strategy
