Hire Resolve is seeking a Head of Business Development to join our client, who specializes in design and building custom solar energy systems to help businesses meet their energy goals. They offer both microgrid and grid-connected solar power solutions across Africa.
Job Overview
The Head of Business Development will lead the company's efforts to grow and find new business opportunities. This role involves working with internal teams and external partners to improve our services and products, while ensuring we meet market demands. The ideal candidate should be proactive and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create strategies to drive demand and grow revenue.
- Negotiate and manage business agreements with clients.
- Conduct financial modeling for new business opportunities.
- Lead cost-benefit analyses for new ventures.
- Introduce new technologies to improve our offerings.
- Work with internal teams to adapt to new business opportunities.
- Research market trends to stay ahead of industry changes.
- Develop business development plans that align with company goals.
- Provide reports on potential revenue and business risks.
- Lead efforts to improve data analytics and market research.
- Identify opportunities to streamline business processes.
- Lead local and regional team discussions on business decisions.
- Manage new business projects based on market feedback.
- Build relationships with industry players and partners.
- Manage the department’s budget and financial planning.
- Maintain strong client relationships.
Skills & Experience
- Motivated and a flexible team player.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Experience with construction contracts preferred.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations.
- Solution-oriented and good at problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven sales and business development experience.
- Project management experience is a plus.
